Stopped by here on a Friday night around 6:30... Doors locked, empty parking lot, and no sign saying why they might be closed. Not sure what's going on there but that's not the best business tactic. Cheers and Enjoy!

For what we paid for our meals, we were very disappointed. After mix-up over glasses of wine vs a bottle (which we ended up paying $45 for), our meals were small and fairly bland...nothing exciting here. There seemed to be family on site, with a young child running around talking to the few diners trying to have a quiet meal. When we arrived, the owner and the waiter nearly tripped each other trying to get to us. The specials board looked as if a child wrote it. I was very disappointed, as another local businessman recommended this place as being great. Maybe just an off night? We won't be back.

Outstanding local Italian food. Fresh and hot. Great pasta especially the lasagna. And do not worry, they serve gluten free pasta. If you are near LBK this is a gem at an affordable price.

Absolutely the rudest chef/owner/person I've ever encountered. We arrived shortly after he opened at 4:30 on a Saturday evening to place a take out for 11 people. Hey Chef, don't have a sand driveway if you don't want sand tracked onto your carpet. Who yells at a customer for walking in the restaurant and tracking the driveway elements in? The chef was so rude about the sand footprints on his floor. Don't bother making your Saturday night dinner plan for 4 hungry sun worn kids, only to wait till 4:30 to place an order (no online menu available), then start from scratch at 5pm. No wonder Ciao just down the street was crazy busy. By the way pizza at Ciao was fantastic!

Went with a family of 8. Table was delivered the food except for one person. That person had ordered the special - Osso Buco. Took 20+ minutes to get the Osso Buco, and most other diners at the table had finished their food. Really? Your special that is normally slow-cooked for hours was not ready? Received the Osso Buco, it was tasteless and served over noodles with a thin red tomato sauce. Completely unsatisfactory experience, from both a service and food standpoint.

We ordered the veal piccata and were served 3 very small slices of veal....an appetizer size portion at most. Flavor was fine but a child's size portion is not sufficient for even a 12 year old. We will never return to this restaurant.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
